Founder
Abdullah Alajaji is the founder and Managing Director of Driven Properties, a fast-expanding property brokerage, investment, management, and consultancy company operating in the Middle East.
Abdullah is a Saudi National and prior to launching Driven Properties, he has gained extensive experience across various corporate and investment functions with prominent organizations in Saudi Arabia. Abdullah started his professional career with Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil company, as an Associate in the company’s Corporate Planning Department. Subsequently, he was also associated with the company’s Corporate Finance & Asset Management division as a Senior Associate.
In 2006, Abdullah joined SAMBA Bank, one of the largest Banks in Saudi Arabia, where he was associated with the bank’s Asset Management division as well as the Office of the Chief Economist. During his tenure at SAMBA Bank, Abdullah co-authored a number of research reports on the country’s economy and the Saudi Stock Exchange.
In 2008, Abdullah spearheaded the establishment of MerchantBridge, a leading Private Equity firm, in the region. He joined as an Executive Director at the firm and was instrumental in raising over USD 800 million for the group’s acquisitions in the region.
With an objective to realize his entrepreneurial ventures, Abdullah co-founded Arab Seed Angels, an angel network supporting Arab entrepreneurs in early-stage ventures. In Dubai, Abdullah established a real estate investment company, Dereyah East Ventures, which owns projects such as Royal Beach Residence.
Abdullah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Economics from the Pennsylvania State University. He has also completed his MBA from London Business School.
